Report on Mother Velankanni Feast Celebration

Holy Cross International School and Jr. College, Boisar, celebrated the Feast of Mother Velankanni with great devotion and joy on Friday, 8th September 2025.
The celebration began with a special prayer service during the school assembly. The Principal, Fr. Henry Pereira, addressed the students and spoke about the significance of Mother Velankanni, also known as Our Lady of Good Health. He explained how people from all over the world come to Velankanni to seek her blessings of healing, protection, and peace.
The program was enriched with various performances and activities. Students presented heartfelt speeches expressing their devotion, while a dance competition added vibrancy to the occasion. Mr. Yash Malavade shared valuable information about the history and importance of this feast, helping students understand its deeper meaning. The program was beautifully conducted by Mrs. Sayali Dhuri and Mr. Yash Malavade, ensuring smooth coordination of all events.
We were also honored by the presence of Dr. Shweta Chaudhari, Principal of the Law College, who graced the celebration with her encouraging words and warm wishes.
The event concluded with prayers and blessings, as Fr. Henry Pereira extended his heartfelt wishes to all the students, teachers, and their families.
The celebration was a perfect blend of spirituality, creativity, and joy, making it a memorable and faith-filled day for everyone at Holy Cross International School and Jr. College.
