Introduction:
On 18th August 2024, Holy Cross International School, Boisar West, organized an English Elocution Competition for students across various grades. The event aimed to foster public speaking skills, enhance the students’ confidence in expressing their thoughts, and promote effective communication. Through this competition, students had the opportunity to showcase their talent in spoken English while engaging with a wide range of topics.
Objective:
The primary objective of the elocution competition was to encourage students to express their ideas clearly and confidently in English, while also developing their skills in diction, articulation, and presentation. It was designed to boost the students’ self-esteem, encourage creative thinking, and improve their ability to speak in front of an audience.
Event Overview:
The competition took place in the school auditorium, with a large number of students participating in various categories. The event was filled with enthusiasm as students took the stage to deliver their speeches on a wide range of topics.
Topics for the Elocution:

All participants received a participation certificate as a recognition of their efforts and enthusiasm. The winners’ speeches were celebrated, and their accomplishments were shared with the entire school during the assembly.
Conclusion:
The English Elocution Competition at Holy Cross International School was a tremendous success.
